Alexis Tolentino

Alexis graduated from Kalani High School and has relocated to Las Vegas where she plans to attend the University of Nevada at Las Vegas.

She trained in the Hawaiian steel guitar for six years and was one of the first NextGen steel guitar players at Ke Kula Mele Hawai‘i School of Hawaiian Music. She is also trained in the upright bass and hula.

Alexis has always been interested in Hawaiian music and culture. At age five, she started playing the ‘ukulele and dancing hula. She started with and still belongs to the Ka Hale I o Kahala halau. When she's not involved with music, Alexis enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with family and friends, cooking, baking, drawing and arts and crafts.

She has performed professionally with Hawaiian group Na ‘Ehu as their steel guitarist, and appeared on occasion with Isaac Akuna and Ku‘uipo Kumukahi in Waikīkī.
